Frequently asked questions
+How do I know whether I need a hearing assessment?
If you or your family notice difficulty following conversation, frequent repetition, or a child not responding consistently to sound, an assessment is a reasonable next step.
+Will I be sold a hearing aid at my first appointment?
No. The first appointment is about understanding your hearing. Options — which may or may not include a device — are discussed after that.
+Can this website tell me if I am a cochlear implant candidate?
No. Based on the information you share, a comprehensive evaluation may be worth discussing with our clinical team. Candidacy is determined only through that evaluation.
+Do you see newborns and young children?
Yes. Newborn and paediatric assessment uses objective tests such as OAE and BERA/ABR alongside age-appropriate behavioural testing.
Not sure what the next step should be?
Speak with our team and arrange an appropriate hearing assessment or consultation.
